Rooted in Christ, driven by purpose, and committed to raising lives that reflect heaven.
ABOUT
We are more than just a church; we are a vibrant, purpose-driven family and a beacon of hope in the heart of Whitby, Ontario. As a proud parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), we joyfully embrace people from all walks of life, united by our faith and our passion for serving God and our community.
Founded on March 1, 2015, and officially inaugurated on April 24, 2016, Maranatha Assembly has grown into a lively, multi-dimensional, and multicultural congregation. Our doors are open to everyone, regardless of background, tribe, or culture. We believe our diversity is our strength, and together—guided by the timeless truths of both the Old and New Testaments—we are building a community where everyone can flourish.
At Maranatha Assembly, every person matters. We encourage each member to discover and maximize their God-given potential. Our mission is to foster unity, nurture spiritual and personal growth, and support one another in love. We are committed to strengthening families, upholding the sanctity of marriage, and reaching out to our neighbors in Whitby and beyond.
Just as Job declared in Job 23:11-12, we strive to walk closely with God, cherishing His Word as our daily guide and greatest treasure:
“My feet have closely followed His steps;
I have kept to His way without turning aside.
I have not departed from the commands of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.”
Pastor Folorunso Olusakin, prefer to be addressed as Brother Fola, is the pioneering and Lead Pastor of RCCG Maranatha Assembly, Whitby. With over twenty years of experience serving diverse, multicultural communities, he is deeply committed to supporting spiritual growth as well as overall wellbeing—spiritually, mentally, and physically.
Pastor Fola is known for his humility, God-given wisdom, and genuine passion for God’s Kingdom. He has a strong love for creativity, quality, and excellence, which is clearly reflected in the worship experience at Maranatha Assembly. A man of integrity, he lives and teaches the Word of God with compassion and sincerity.
He is especially devoted to raising generations who are both heaven-minded and earthly relevant, leading by example through teaching, training, and a life that reflects Christ.
Pastor Rachael Olusakin serves as the co-lead pastor of RCCG Maranatha Assembly, Whitby. She also coordinates the Victorious Women ministry, where she supports and empowers women in their faith journey. She coordinates the Children’s Unit—a ministry dedicated to nurturing, guiding, and protecting the destinies of children.
Known for her caring nature and unique sense of calm, Pastor Rachael brings warmth, compassion, and steady leadership to everyone she serves.
